Nearly 100 Bands @ Bonnaroo (June in TN)!
March 3, 2008 on 9:53 pm | In World Travel | No CommentsAnd then there’s this little party…
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is a four-day, multi-stage camping festival held on a beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee every June. Bonnaroo brings together some of the best performers in rock and roll, along with dozens of artists in complementary styles such as jazz, Americana, hip-hop, electronica, and just about any contemporary music you can think of. In addition to dozens of epic performances, the festival’s 100-acre entertainment village buzzes around the clock with attractions and activities including a classic arcade, on-site cinema, silent disco, comedy club, theater performers, a beer festival, and a music technology village. For its peaceful vibe, near-flawless logistics, and unrivaled entertainment options, Rolling Stone magazine named this revolutionary entertainment experience one of the 50 moments that changed the history of rock and roll.

2008 Parties Around the Globe
March 2, 2008 on 10:16 pm | In World Travel | No CommentsA friend told me today that she could invite 1 friend to fly anywhere in the world free with her… and suggested that could be me. She then asked, where to go?
I pieced together a list of World Events in 2008 (listed below), and it turns out there’s a lot going on around the world this year…
who knew?! I wrote her several emails in response, the meat of which was:
“Can I tell you how fucking kick ass it feels that you are actually thinking of me when you suddenly find yourself with an opportunity to travel anywhere in the world with someone! I don’t even know if I’ll be able to go, if you’ll want me to, or what, but glad you thought of me… as I do LOVE world travel, adventure, your wild personality, and the mystery of how that could all unfold.
MYSTERY TANGENT
It would be so fucking cool if somebody said, “Block off dates XYZ on your calendar, cause you’ll be getting your world rocked like you can’t even imagine during that time!! You’ll be blindfolded and must listen to an iPod until we are in the taxi to our hotel at the destination (and yes we’re flying to another country and I won’t tell you where). You may never ask me or anyone WHERE. (Even more intense, would be where the PLANNER chooses a place so foreign, their partner can not figure out where they are the entire trip - or for a good while into the trip.)
I love getting lost in exotic places.
”
MY SUGGESTIONS
