Thom Singer’s Networking Quotient Survey

I signed up for ReviewMe.com a few weeks ago, which pays bloggers to review other sites. Today I got my first request, which offered to pay $30, of which I get 50%, and ReviewMe.com gets 50%. I started the review off below and gave up. I am still going to submit this post to ReviewMe.com to see if they pay out for honest reviews, or if they only pay for skewed, one sided reviews. Personally, I believe my time is worth the $15, as they are going to learn from my experience, and they will get traffic, even though my review is honest.
Thom Singer, the award winning author of Some Assembly Required, has over 15 years in sales and marketing roles at several Fortune 500 companies… he’s built expertise in networking and branding and has designed this free quiz to help people learn about their social networking skills for business. After roughly 5 - 8 minutes you will understand how your skills compare with those of your peers in several demographics.
So, here’s my experience… I entered my junk email address to get the activation code, and it did not send me the email right away… so I waited for over 10 minutes to get the link to take the quiz. I almost gave up, and I wish I did. Finally, I went through the process of telling Thom who I am, where I live, and sharing information I am not comfortable sharing. I then got through 16 questions in about 3 minutes, and realized I had better things to do than fill out some lame survey, and I gave up. I’m hopeful there was some fancy graph at the end of the 8 minute survey, but I personally didn’t see the value. This is probably becauase I don’t value how my business networking skills compare to others, and for Thom’s sake, I hope I am not the norm.
Thom appears to have a solid background, so I’d love to hear what others think of his survey, and the results they receive! Go check it out everyone!
PS: This is supposed to be a paid posting… I’ll update you on if they refuse to pay.
UPDATE:
Click on “comments” for this post to read Thom’s resposne, and I am happy to report that I got this email today from ReviewMe.com. Today, it’s a wonderful world where honest reviews hold respect and value.
