Wiki, Wiki, Wiki… SHUT UP!

Wiki’s have been growing in popularity over the past several years with the success of Wikipedia. In exploring business opportunites in this space, I’ve discovered WikiCities, which I believe is likely the best model, as they provide FREE wiki’s installed and ready to be used, which host ads in exchange. A great way to get a ton of click through revenue.
Another interesting, yet not very successful Wiki, is WikiTree - a geneology wiki. I took this idea internal, and created a family wiki to better get to know the family members in my, and my wife’s, familes. I called it BreadLeaf, and each family member gets a page dedicated to what makes them so special. I started with my wife, and I surveyed her asking her all kinds of questions about what she loves, and what makes her who she is. I then ran astrology studies, looked up her name origin, etc… and included photos of her. Of course, it took me so much time to create her leaf, that it has been months, and I have yet to move on to another family member. Still something I hope to get too, but the clock is too small!
